Job Description:

About the Role:
The Controller is a hands-on finance leader responsible for owning and executing all accounting and financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role requires active involvement in day-to-day accounting while overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and compliance in a production-focused operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the full accounting and finance function for a manufacturing operation.

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management activities.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.

  • Partner closely with operations to support cost control, margin analysis, and production-related financial decisions.

  • Manage audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement across accounting systems, reporting, and financial processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Five or more years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Demonstrated experience owning end-to-end accounting and financial operations.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Experience with manufacturing ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Proven ability to operate hands-on while providing financial leadership.

Desired Qualifications:

  • CPA or CMA certification.

  • Strong background in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and production variance analysis.

  • Experience supporting plant operations or production leadership.

  • Exposure to continuous improvement or operational efficiency initiatives.
